Former Asghar Mall Graduate and French Media Executive Applauds College’s New BS International Relations Programme (2025-2026)
Jamshed Rehan and Javed Awan
Rawalpindi — A wave of encouragement has come from Mr. Javed Awan, a proud alumnus of Government Graduate College Asghar Mall Rawalpindi, who has now established his own media enterprise in France, titled “La Voix du Monde Média” (The Voice of the World Media). He has expressed deep appreciation for the college’s recent launch of the BS International Relations programme and urged students across Pakistan to seize this exceptional educational opportunity.
Mr. Awan, who completed his M.A. in Economics from the same institution, described the introduction of the BS International Relations degree as a “revival of Asghar Mall College’s academic prestige in a globalised world”. He emphasised that this programme will equip students with the intellectual and professional tools necessary to compete internationally in fields such as diplomacy, journalism, academia and public policy.
He further remarked,
“When I studied at Asghar Mall College, it was already a centre of excellence for critical thought and discipline. Today, seeing the college open its doors to International Relations students with such a qualified faculty and subsidised fee structure is inspiring. This is the most affordable and visionary higher education opportunity in the entire region.”
According to the administration, the admission fee for the first semester is only Rs. 16,000, while each subsequent semester up to the eighth will cost just Rs. 10,000. This makes it the cheapest and most accessible public institution not only in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and Pothohar, but also for students coming from Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Mr. Awan encouraged students from all provinces to consider Asghar Mall College as a gateway to global exposure, especially for those who aspire to work in foreign service, media, NGOs, research institutions or international organisations.
He concluded by saying,
“The journey from Rawalpindi to Paris began at Asghar Mall College. Students should not miss the chance to start their own journey here, particularly when such an advanced degree is now within everyone’s financial reach.”
Admissions for BS International Relations are now open at Government Graduate College Asghar Mall Rawalpindi (Affiliated with the University of Punjab, Lahore)
Affordable. Visionary. Globally Aligned.
